Myrna García

Myrna García enjoys teaching and has a wide variety of kindergarten college teaching experiences in New York City, San Diego, and Chicago. Her academic interests are race and ethnicity, comparative im/migration histories, and social justice. García is a doctoral candidate in ethnic studies at the University of California, San Diego. Her dissertation, Sin Fronteras: Activism, Identity, and the Politics of Belonging in Mexican Chicago, 1968-1986 investigates the activism of Rudy Lozano and El Centro de Acción Social y Autonomo- Hermandad General de Trabajadores.
