Robert M. Marovich

Robert Marovich is host of WLUW’s “Gospel Memories” weekly radio broadcast, founder and editor in chief of The Black Gospel Blog, and treasurer for the Chicago Gospel Music Heritage Museum. He has written essays on gospel music for encyclopedias, magazines and journals, and is currently at work on a history of gospel music in Chicago. The Chicago Gospel Music Heritage Museum was organized in 2002 by Rev. Dr. Stanley Keeble to showcase the rich heritage of gospel music in Chicago, where it was birthed, and to be an educational resource that explores the successes and the challenges that pioneering gospel artists experienced during a time of significant social change in America.
